UCF has established ten church groups throughout Sri Lanka.  Seven of these groups are house churches, and three have built UCF Community Centers where church services are conducted in addition to other outreach programmes.  Besides worship services, many of these churches also conduct Sunday School programmes and baptism services.  Some of the pastors are in full-time ministry with UCF, while others are in part-time ministry.

Church Services in Badureliya

Picture

Baduraliya is  predominately a non-Christian community.  Pastor Sumith, married with three children, is heading a ministry in the area who has been working in the rubber plantation community.  Generally, these people are very poor and work as laborers in this area who are  very low income families.  The ministry has been established there for several years.  UCF has planted a church there and holds weekly church services in the open air in a temporary shelter.   Apart from this, there are regular prayer meetings and Bible studies to encourage new believers.  There are many other activities conducted by this ministry as well.  They have joined with UCF and are working together.  We have accepted them as one of our church plants as part of our ministry.  Rev. Fernando visits this church regularly and encourages the congregation there.
